The terminal operator said three super post-Panamax cranes capable of handling vessels with a nominal capacity of over 13,800 TEUs were commissioned, adding to the two Panamax cranes and harbor crane already in use.
'The terminal will be a key facility for the company in the western Mediterranean Sea with the growing industrial port-hinterland and good links to Madrid, Barcelona and the surrounding Catalan region,” said Flemming Dalgaard, senior vice president and managing director, Europe and Russia for DP World.
