DP World London Gateway picks Import Services Ltd. as manager

The 386,000-square-foot facility is targeted to open in the second quarter of 2015.    DP World London Gateway is constructing a common user facility at the London Gateway Logistics Park and has appointed Import Services Ltd. as operator and manager.
   The 386,000-square-foot facility is targeted to open in the second quarter of 2015, DP World London Gateway said in a statement.
   Head of Supply Chain Peter Ward stated that the aim of the facility is to make the benefits of using London Gateway more accessible to cargo owners, freight forwards and third party logistics companies.
   Because Import Services specializes in “pay as you go,” it will make it easy for clients with Duty and VAT to defer payment until products are sold and dispatched to the market, according to the Client Services Director of Import Services Mike Thomas. As operator and manager, the company will offer cross-docking, storage, pick-and-pack, labeling, pre-retail and distribution at the CFU.
