DSC Logistics wins Culligan business
For decades, Culligan International Co. advertising have urged customers to just shout 'Hey Culligan Man!' when they need softer or cleaner water. Now when they make the call, employees of DSC Logistics will also be jumping.
Culligan, a company that sells water softeners and other products and services to purify and process water, has awarded DSC Logistics a contract for logistics management services out of their Des Plaines, Ill., and Mira Loma, Calif. logistics centers.
DSC will perform logistics center management activities including warehousing, kitting and parts fulfillment for Culligan products, such as water filters, household water softeners and micro filtration products.
Culligan has changed its sourcing strategy, and now buys most of its products from manufacturers in China and Taiwan.
DSC's logistics centers will be receiving Culligan's products from Southeast Asia and distributing them to their nationwide network of dealers.
