DSV’s net profit up 53% after nine months

Danish forwarding and logistics group DSV A/S posted a 53.3 percent rise in net profit after nine months to 710 million Danish Krone ($137 million), compared to DKr463 million after three quarters last year

The Brondby-based company’s earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) for the period rose 45.6 percent to DKr1.20 billion ($229 million) against DKr821 million a year ago. Total revenue improved 11 percent to DKr25.85 billion ($4.95 billion) from DKr23.27 billion.

“The main reason for this increase is the higher activity level following the acquisition of Frans Maas and improved margin ratios, although they are partly offset by higher financial expenses,” DSV said in a statement.
