Dunkirk’s cargo up 1% after six months
The Port of Dunkirk in France handled 28.4 million tons of cargo in the first half of 2007, a 1 percent improvement from the first quarter of last year.
Imports were up 3 percent at 20.5 million tons in the six months while exports declined 4 percent to 7.9 million tons.
The port’s container throughput for the period increased 5 percent to 103,400 TEUs.
