Dye heads Asia-Pacific for Ecu-Line

Ecu-Line has appointed Michael J. Dye to regional chief executive officer of Asia-Pacific.

Based in Hong Kong, Dye’s region will comprise the Far East, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to joining Ecu-Line, Dye was chief operating officer for Vanguard Logistics and a member of the top management team of OTS Group.

“Asia-Pacific is an important region for us and with strong management in place we would be making further investments to strengthen our market position and to serve our customers better,” said Shashi Kiran Shetty, chairman of Ecu-Line Group, in a statement.

Ecu-Line is a less-than-containerload non-vessel-operating common carrier with more than 120 owned offices in 58 countries spanning the Americas, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia.

The company was acquired by Mumbai, India-based Allcargo Global Logistics in 2006. Allcargo has multiple businesses in the logistics space, including LCL consolidation, container freight stations and equipment rentals, and is listed on the Bombay and National stock exchanges.
