E.R. Schiffahrt names 2,824-TEU ship

E.R. Schiffahrt names 2,824-TEU ship

German ship management firm E.R. Schiffahrt, part of Hamburg's Nordcapital Group, today in Korea named a 2,824-TEU containership that will be chartered to CMA CGM.

   The 'E.R. Martinique' will be renamed 'CMA CGM Anemone' and be deployed on the French carrier's weekly Asia/Mediterranean BEX 2 loop.

   E.R. Schiffahrt now manages 67 container ships with total capacity of about 315,000 TEUs. It also has 11 ships on order from HHI, with a combined capacity of about 30,000 TEUs, due to be delivered by spring 2009.
