Eberhart Capital buys Poling Transportation

   Expanding its portfolio of trucking companies, Eberhart Capital has acquired Omaha-based Poling Transportation for an undisclosed amount. 
   The temperature-controlled trucking company’s current management will remain intact. 
   Eberhart purchased Los Angeles-based Golden Drop Trucking in July and Twin Express of Rogers, Minn., in October. With the latest acquisition, Eberhart now has a fleet of more than 200 trucks. 
   “Poling reflects the passion and consistency of its founder, Gene Poling,” Eberhart’s managing director, Dan K. Eberhart, said in a statement. “This transaction combines a great company with a positive reputation throughout the trucking industry by focusing on driver safety, consistent customer service, and implementing innovative trucking technologies.” – Jon Ross
