EC competition official leaves half-way through conference antitrust review

Eric Fitzgerald, an official at the competition directorate of the European Commission closely involved in the review of the European conference Regulation 4056/86, has left the competition arm of the Brussels-based executive.

He has moved to the tax and customs directorate of the European Commission. The timing of his transfer has surprised the industry.

Fitzgerald will be replaced by Monique Negeman, newly-appointed administrator at the competition directorate.
