Edmonds reappointed Houston port board chair
The Harris County Commissioners Court and the Houston City Council on Tuesday jointly re-appointed Jim Edmonds as chairman of the Port of Houston Authority commission.
Initially appointed to the port commission in October 1996 to represent Harris County, Edmonds was first appointed chairman in 2000 by the city and the county. Edmonds is also a member of the board of commissioners for the Houston Pilots Association. Port of Houston Authority commissioners serve two-year terms.
