Ehler, Martini to run Stewart airport

Ehler, Martini to run Stewart airport Two executives at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey have been named to run the new Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, N.Y., when the agency takes over the facility this fall.
   Diannae Ehler, who currently manages the Port Authority bus terminal, will become general manager. A longtime Port Authority employee, she has worked in the engineering, port commerce and aviation departments.
   Jack Martini has been named airport operations and security manager.
   The Port Authority is buying the remainder of a 99-year lease that
National Express Group has of the 2,200-acre airport.
   The British transportation company acquired the lease for $35 million in 1999, making Stewart the first commercial airport in the country to be privatized, but agreed earlier this year to sell the remaining years on the lease to the Port Authority for $78.5 million.
