EIGHT FIRMS APPLY FOR OTI LICENSES

   The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received eight applications for ocean transportation intermediary licenses to operate as non-vessel-operating common carriers and/or freight forwarders.

   Applying an OTI license as an NVOCC are Costa Freight Inc., City of Industry, Calif.; Allied Transport System (USA) Inc., Springfield Gardens, N.Y.; DJR Logistics Inc., Marlton, N.J.; Energy Freight Systems, Houston; and Xpress Freight Services Inc., Miami.

   Applicants for an ocean freight forwarder OTI license is Bank Shipping of P.R. Inc., Carolina, Puerto Rico; and Green Freight LLC, Seattle, Wash.

   Cargo Partner Network Inc., of Jamaica, N.Y., has applied for an OTI license to operate as a forwarder and an NVOCC.
