Eimskip makes North America management changes

Icelandic company Hf. Eimskipafelag Islands has appointed Brent Sugden as chief executive officer of its operations in the United States and Canada following the integration in the region of Eimskip and recent acquisitions Versacold and Atlas Coldstorage.

   Sugden was Versacold's CEO. Reynir Gislason, who was Eimskip’s CEO of operations other than cold storage in North America has resigned with immediate effect.

   Gylfi Sigfusson has been appointed executive vice president, responsible for Eimskip Americas’ services including import and export to and from Iceland and other cross trades in reefer logistics.

   In the United States and Canada, Eimskip operates about 120 cold stores and employs about 8,500 people with annual turnover of $1.2 billion.
