Emirates boosts Chicago cargo capacity

Emirates has begun daily non-stop flights between Dubai and Chicago using Boeing 777-200 ELR planes, boosting its cargo capacity into the market.
Emirates now boasts 120 tons of belly capacity to Chicago each week.
Emirates commenced twice-weekly freighter service to Chicago in March 2013.
Duncan Watson, Emirates’ vice president, cargo commercial for Southern Africa and the Americas, said Chicago’s high GDP and status as a home for large, well-known companies makes the city a good target for additional cargo capacity.
“Before we started freighter services to the city, it was already a growing feeder market for our cargo services from New York,” he said.
