The CMA CGM Group said Wednesday that Emirates Shipping Line has joined as a vessel provider in a service connecting Southeast Asia with East Africa.
The service, dubbed ASEA by CMA CGM, since last week has operated with six vessels (four from CMA CGM subsidiary Delmas and two from Emirates). The move will increase vessel size from around 2,000 TEUs currently to 2,500 TEUs.
The rotation for the service is Port Kelang, Singapore, Maldives (Port Victoria and Male are served on alternate weeks), Mombasa, Tanga, Dar Es Salam, Colombo and Port Kelang.
