Emirates’ Khan to focus on strategy
Emirates Shipping Line said Monday that it is moving Romi Kaushal from senior vice president of customer services into a chief executive officer role managing the carrier's day-to-day operations so that current CEO Vikas Khan can focus on “strategic maneuvering, alliances and arrangements” in the current down cycle.
“The economic crisis of today is indeed of vast proportions which require extraordinary measures,” the carrier said in a statement.
Emirates is headquartered in Hong Kong and Dubai and with 12 vessels is the 36th largest liner carrier in the world by capacity.
