Utilizing an Airbus A330-200, flight EK967 will depart Dubai at 2:10 a.m. every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and will arrive in Mashad at 7:00 a.m.
The return flight, EK968, will depart Mashad at 8:45 a.m. and will arrive in Dubai at 10:45 a.m.
Arrival and departure times in Mashad will be one hour earlier starting Sept. 22 due to the end of Daylight Savings Time in Iran.
The flights will further support Iran’s exports of fruits, vegetables, carpets, saffron, nuts and personal effects and the country’s imports of meat, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, machinery and automobile parts, the airline said in a statement.
Emirates SkyCargo primarily transports Iranian exports to Dubai, Kuwait, Riyadh, Bahrain, Osaka, Tokyo, Melbourne, Sydney and Los Angeles, while it mainly transports Iranian imports from the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai, Mumbai, Frankfurt and Basel.
Emirates already serves Iran’s capital city of Tehran. In 2014, the airline transported over half a million passengers and over 17,500 tons of cargo to and from Iran.
In addition to belly-hold capacity on Emirates aircraft, Emirates SkyCargo encompasses a fleet of 12 Boeing 777Fs and two Boeing 747-400ERFs. The dedicated freighter fleet serves over 50 destinations worldwide from its freighter hub at Dubai World Central’s Al Maktoum International Airport.
