Emirates vessel makes inaugural call at Tampa
Emirates Shipping Line vessel the 'Emirates Wats' made its inaugural call at the Port of Tampa Wednesday.
The 3,169-TEU containership is part of the Asia-Gulf Express (AGX) service that Emirates offers along with vessel sharing partner Zim Integrated Shipping Services. The weekly service is the first direct service from Asia for the Port of Tampa.
The service calls ports in China, Korea and Japan, as well as Tampa's Hooker's Point Container Terminal, which is operated by Ports America, which changed its name this week from P&O Ports North America.
