Emma Maersk gets another sister: Elly
Now there are six.
Maersk said the sixth in the Emma Maersk class of containerships was named Elly Maersk at a ceremony at the Odense Steel Shipyard on Saturday.
Maersk says the ships have an 11,000 TEU capacity, though some independent analysts have said they can carry up to 14,800 TEUs.
The ships is one of eight that are being deployed in a Far East/Europe loop by Maersk.
