Encompass Global Logistics begins operations

Encompass Global Logistics, a new international logistics firm, said Monday it has begun operations with offices in Dallas, New York, Los Angeles and Hong Kong.

   “EGL is owned and managed by a group of highly knowledgeable industry executives who collectively have more than 100 years of experience in international transportation and logistics,” the company said in a statement.

   The company is headed by Asa Cheng, Hong-Kong-based chief executive officer; President Stephen Aldridge in Los Angeles; Mark Aldridge, vice president in New York; Richard D'Antonio, vice president-Gulf/Midwest; Ron Folsom, vice president-West Coast; and Nick Tu, vice president-operations.

   Encompass will offer global ocean and air freight services, Asia sourcing, trucking, warehousing/distribution, vendor management, consolidation/P.O. management, U.S. domestic warehousing and intermodal truckload and rail, customs house brokerage, cargo insurance, consulting and carrier agency representation.

   The company is a wholly owned entity and part of the Gong Brothers Holdings, Ltd. Group of companies.
