End of PuriNOx is near in California    It appears marine terminals in California that want to use emulsified diesel to cut air emissions from yard equipment will have to find a new source after Lubrizol, the company that makes the blended fuel, called PuriNOx, announced it will discontinue the product after this year.
   The West Coast maritime newsletter Cunningham Report reported the development Monday after Ralph Appy, director of environmental management for the Port of Los Angeles, said as much at a conference on clean air technologies in San Pedro, Calif. last week.
   Emulsified diesel is an 80 percent/20 percent blend of diesel and water, which reduces nitrogen oxide emissions a corresponding 20 percent.
