Key Takeaways:

Dupré Logistics has begun using FourKites’ third-party load tracking technology to alleviate driver check-in calls and provide customers with more accurate ETAs.    The third-party logistics services provider Dupré Logistics has begun using real-time third-party load tracking technology from FourKites, the software company said Tuesday.
“We can share FourKites’ location data and ETA with both our shipping and receiving customers, so while we’re preventing calls and emails to our customer service team, our account team can actually use it as a sales tool for prospective customers,” said Dupré Vice President of Supply Chain Services Mike Weindel. “Everyone here has accurate tracking information and digital logs, so there’s no calling the drivers and distracting them with ETA requests, and we can use FourKites delay notifications to quickly correct and minimize exceptions. We’re also able to build better carrier relationships by getting billed, settled, and paying them faster than before, without the extra cost of third-party factoring.”
Weindel said the tool also helps improve customer relationships when carrier lanes are tight.
FourKites Chief Revenue Officer Dave Walker said his company uses electronic logging device (ELD) information to populate a dashboard map with live loads. Dupré can view a profile of shareable and reportable information for each load.
Dupré primarily serves the energy industry. The company operates 500 trucks, employs more than 800 professional drivers in its dedicated fleets and has a network of 2,000 preferred carriers in North America. It offers brokerage, transportation management, truckload and dedicated fleet services.
