Enterprise Florida promotes Latimer

Enterprise Florida promotes Latimer Enterprise Florida, the state’s public-private partnership agency for economic development, has named Al Latimer senior vice president of the agency’s External Affairs and Investor Relations (EAIR) division.
   Latimer has been with Enterprise Florida since 1998, most recently as an EAIR vice president in charge of government, legislative and partner/stakeholder relations for economic development. He replaces Chris Hart IV as the executive in charge the EAIR division. Hart recently accepted a job as president and chief executive officer of Workforce Florida Inc.
   “Al brings more than a decade of experience in working successfully with our partners and stakeholders and in legislative affairs to his new role,” said John Adams Jr., president and CEO of Enterprise Florida. “He also has helped us forge effective partnerships with our wide range of stakeholders, compliments of his broad knowledge of public policy issues related to defense, space, workforce, international trade, transportation, information technology, and life sciences industries.”
   Latimer, who played pro football for several NFL teams in the 1970s and 1980s, has also been vice president of government relations for the Florida Chamber of Commerce, executive director of the Jacksonville Sports Development Authority, and regional director in Gainesville for the Governor’s Council on Fitness and Sports.
