Envirotainer strengthens ties with airlines Air France Cargo-KLM Cargo has extended its partnership with Envirotainer to serve the pharmaceutical market with active temperature controlled air cargo containers.
   The airline’s “Variation Pharma” product range is designed for shipping pharmaceutical and medical goods and offers transfer, dedicated handling, and monitoring of shipments within its dedicated global network via Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Paris-Charles de Gaulle airports.
   “Air France Cargo-KLM Cargo is Envirotainer’s biggest customer and partner,” said Martin Peter, Envirotainer’s vice president, sales. “Together, we will continue to focus on increasing service and quality to satisfy the growing needs for cold chain solutions in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry.”
   Envirotainer has recently decided to focus solely on serving the pharmaceutical market with its fleet of more than 3,500 active temperature controlled air cargo containers.
   Meanwhile, Envirotainer and Emirates SkyCargo have signed a new contract agreement making the Dubai-based airline a strategic partner in the Middle East.
   The new partnership will allow Emirates a dedicated Envirotainer account manager, broad access to research and development, consulting services, and flexibility to ship across both companies’ networks.
   Emirates started its cooperation with Envirotainer in 2003 and the carrier has built up infrastructure and specific handling procedures to protect temperature-controlled shipments.
