enVista partners with inventory-planning software provider

   The supply chain consulting firm enVista said this week it has partnered with Avercast, an inventory forecasting and demand planning solutions provider, to allow users to add demand planning and sales and operations planning (S&OP) to their enterprise resourcing planning (ERP) platforms.
   Avercast provides planning functionality that works with Microsoft Dynamics AX, one of Microsoft’s ERP products, in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) architecture.
   “In order to effectively use ERP and advanced planning solutions for S&OP, companies need a firm grasp on both the process and the technologies,” enVista said in a statement.
   “Microsoft Dynamics users need real-time insight into their operations, and the ability to sense and respond quickly and effectively to changing customer preferences and buying patterns across all selling channels,” said Jason Averill, president of Avercast. “Our alliance with enVista ensures that Microsoft Dynamics users have access to the resources they need to better compete while driving multi-channel sales and improving customer service.” – Eric Johnson
