Erdmann new deputy CFO for Rickmers

   Rickmers Holding has hired Mark-Ken Erdmann as deputy chief financial officer effective July 2012, the Hamburg-based carrier said.
   Edrmann is joining Rickmers, which operates several different cargo vessel divisons, from Bertelmann, a German multinational media company. For Rickmers, he will be responsible for accounting and controlling, tax, IT, human resources, legal affairs, and mergers and acquisitions.
   “We are making good progress in identifying institutional sources of capital which are seeking long term participation in shipping as an asset class in partnership with the Rickmers Group and we are optimizing our Group’s corporate finance operating model in response to changing complexity,” said Van Meenen, CFO and deputy chief executive officer of Rickmers Group. “Dr. Erdmann’s wealth of experience with best-in-class financial administration structures will be an invaluable asset in these projects and more widely for the Group.”
