eShipGlobal launches hazmat compliance tool    eShipGlobal this week released its eShipLab, a Web-based tool for shipping hazardous or dangerous goods in compliance with new carrier regulations.
   eShipLab has been developed specifically for companies, research facilities and universities that ship hazardous or dangerous goods.
   'Our eShipLab Web-based shipping service ensures that only trained users can ship packages and that all shipments meet all regulatory requirements,' said Srini Vasan, chief executive officer of Irving, Texas-based eShipGlobal, in a statement.
   Some of eShipLab's benefits are:
   ' Provides a Web-based, step-by-step process for shipping packages anywhere, anytime the user has Internet access.
   ' Identifies the least expensive contracted carrier and routing options, enabling the user to save on shipping costs.
   ' Ensures only authorized and properly trained users can ship packages through the system so that all packages are properly classified, labeled and packaged, increasing protection against shipping liability risks.
   ' Ensures all regulatory requirements are met, as determined by the package contents and destination, including requirements from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, International Air Transport Association, Treasury and Commerce departments, and carriers.
   ' Helps prevent shippers from sending packages to restricted party screening (RPS) entities, including unauthorized countries, business entities and individual names, which can result in fines of up to $1 million and up to 20 years in prison.
