ESPMC raises Callao congestion charge, introduces hazmat additional Member carriers of the ESPMC-WITASS conference between Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America said today they will increase the congestion surcharge introduced in mid-September for the Port of Callao in Peru.
   Effective Jan. 15, the charge will be $65/92 euros (from $55/41 euros) per TEU for all southbound and northbound cargoes.
   At the same time, the conference lines will introduce an additional of $250 per TEU for all hazardous IMO cargoes moving in the northbound trade to Europe from South America and the Caribbean.
