ESPMC-WITASS adds NOx surcharge for Norway cargo
Shipping lines in the ESPMC-WITASS conference, covering the Europe/Caribbean/South America trade, have introduced a 20 euro ($26.38) surcharge on all shipments to and from Norway to recover the costs of a new government-imposed levy for nitrous oxide emissions in the Scandinavian country’s territory.
Member lines of the conference are CMA CGM, CSAV, Hamburg Sud, Hapag-Lloyd, “K” Line and Container Cargo Lines Inc., believed to be a subsidiary of Israeli carrier Zim.
