Effective Jan. 15, the increase will be $75 per TEU for dry containerized cargo, and $150 per TEU for refrigerated cargo.
There will be an additional increase of $75 per TEU of dry cargo, effective April 1.
In addition, the conference said it would implement a peak season surcharge from Feb. 15 through June 30 of $175 per TEU for both dry and refrigerated cargo.
The conference announced planned increases from the West Coast of South America
earlier last week.
