ESPMC-WITASS doubles Trinidad congestion surcharge
Member lines of the ESPMC-WITASS conference that covers the Europe/Caribbean/South America trade, will next month more than double its congestion surcharge for all shipments to and from the Port of Spain in Trinidad.
Effective Jan. 1, the U.S.-dollar surcharge will be $54 (from $23) per TEU and $108 (from $46) per FEU. The euro-denominated charge will be 43 euros (from 18 euros) per TEU and 86 euros (from 36 euros) per FEU.
Carriers in the ESPMC-WITASS conference are CMA CGM, Compania Sud Americana de Vapores (CSAV), Hamburg Sud, Hapag-Lloyd and 'K' Line.
