ESPMC-WITASS increasing Puerto Cabello congestion charge
Member carriers of the ESPMC-WITASS conference said Tuesday there will be an increase in the congestion surcharge for Puerto Cabello, Venezuela, effective Sept. 1.
The conference covers the Europe/Caribbean/South America trade. The surcharge increase applies to both northbound and southbound shipments. The new charge will be 45 euros/$60 per TEU (from 41 euros/$56 per TEU) and 90 euros/$120 per FEU (from 82 euros/$112 per FEU).
