ESPMC-WITASS reducing Puerto Cabello congestion charge

ESPMC-WITASS reducing Puerto Cabello congestion charge Container lines in the ESPMC-WITASS conference, covering the Europe/Caribbean/South America trade, will lower their congestion surcharge for Puerto Cabello, Venezuela, effective April 1.
      The revised surcharge, applicable to both northbound and southbound shipments, will be 40 euros/$59 per TEU (from 64 euros/$89 per TEU) and 80 euros/$118 per FEU (from 128 euros/$178 per FEU).
      The conference said the surcharge would be charged prepaid together with the ocean freight, and that lines will withdraw the surcharge when port conditions return to normal.
