EU signs aviation agreement with New Zealand

EU signs aviation agreement with New Zealand    The European Union today signed an aviation agreement removing nationality restrictions from existing bilateral air services agreements between EU Member States and New Zealand.
   Nationality restrictions were found to be incompatible with EU law by the European Court of Justice in the “open skies” judgments of Nov. 5 2002.
   The European Commission has negotiated similar agreements to remove the restrictions with 23 countries so far.
