The proposed “general rate increase” would amount to $100 per 20-foot container and $150 per 40-foot box.
The carriers cited “the continuing strong westbound market from Europe to Canada,” and said that the increases are part of a revenue restoration program.
The Europe/Canada conference lines are Atlantic Container Line, Canada Maritime, Cast, Hapag-Lloyd Container Line and Orient Overseas Container Line.
