A consortium of Europe/East Africa shipping lines have
added a call at Aden, Yemen, to their joint port itinerary.
P&O Nedlloyd, Harrison Line, Ellerman, Safmarine, H. Stinnes and
WEC, the members of the Beacon consortium, previously served the port of Aden by
transshipment.
The carriers have had trials of calling at the port direct during the
summer.
The revised vessel rotation of Beacon is Hamburg, Antwerp, Felixstowe,
Damietta, Djibouti, Aden, Dar es Salaam, Mombasa, Djibouti, Port Said, Hamburg, Antwerp
and Felixstowe.
Kenya National Shipping Line and Yemen Gulf Line also take slots on the
service.
