EUROPE/INDIAN SUBCONTINENT CARRIERS RAISE BUNKER CHARGE

   Shipping lines of the India Pakistan Bangladesh Ceylon Conferences will raise their bunker charges for the trade between Europe and the Indian Subcontinent, effective Dec. 1.

   The fuel charge for full container loads will rise to $80. For

less-than-container load shipments, the charge will remain at the current level of $6 per freight ton. For breakbulk cargoes, the bunker charge will go up to 23 percent of the rate.

   The carriers of the India Pakistan Bangladesh Ceylon Conferences are: Andrew Weir Shipping (Ellerman), Bangladesh Shipping Corp., Ceylon Shipping Corp., CMA CGM, Contship Container Lines, Hapag-Lloyd, Himalaya Express, Maersk Sealand, P&O Nedlloyd, Pakistan National Shipping Corp., Rickmers Linie, Safmarine, Senator Lines, Shipping Corporation of India, United Arab Shipping Co., Yangming and Zim Israel Navigation Co.
