Europe/South America carriers to raise northbound rates
Members of the European/South Pacific & Magellan Freight Conference, a carrier group in the Europe/West Coast of South America trade, said they will increase northbound freight rates by $200 per TEU in mid-June.
“The lines hope customers will appreciate that such measures are necessary to sustain the viability of the services in this area,” the conference said in a statement.
ESPMC carriers are CMA CGM, Compania Sud Americana de Vapores, Hamburg Sud, Hapag-Lloyd and “K” Line.
