Europe/West Africa carriers add Dakar congestion charge
Shipping lines of the Europe West Africa Trade Agreement said they will implement a congestion charge due to deteriorating port conditions in Dakar, Senegal.
The charge will be 75 euros ($97) or '50 per 20-foot container and 150 euros ($195) or '100 per 40-foot box.
The Europe/West Africa conference also revised congestion surcharges for shipments to the ports of Luanda, Onne, Malabo and Lagos.
