EUROPE WEST INDIES LINES EXPANDS EUROPE/CARIBBEAN SERVICE

   Rotterdam-based Europe West Indies Lines will add Puerto Cortes and Santo Tomas de Castilla as direct calls on one of its two services in the Europe-Caribbean/Central America/North Coast of South America trade.

   A new ship, the “EWL Central America,” will join the revised service, making its maiden voyage from Rotterdam at the beginning of October.

   Currently, the carrier’s service A employs three ships of 1,000 TEUs and sails every 11 days. The service rotation is Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Barbados, Guanta, Port of Spain, Paramaribo, Georgetown, Aruba, Rotterdam and Felixstowe.

   Service B sails every 12 days and also uses three ships of 1,000 TEUs. The service rotation is Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Bilbao, Port of Spain, La Guaira, Puerto Cabello, Curacao, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Puerto Limon, Rio Haina, Rotterdam, Felixstowe and Bilbao.
