European air cargo sales agents merge

European air cargo sales agents merge Air Liaison and H.W.F Sweden Group AB, two European independent air cargo general sales agents, have merged to establish a single source agency in the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and Finland markets.
   Air Liaison, headquartered at Manchester Airport in the United Kingdom, and Stockholm-based H.W.F provide services for Air Canada, Alitalia, Avient Aero, Continental Airlines, Etihad Crystal Cargo, Finnair, Frontier Aviation, Kenya Airways, Saudi Arabia Airlines, Shanghai Airlines Cargo and Thai Airways.
   Both companies will retain their existing business identities and established brands.
   Martin Short, managing director of Air Liaison, said the merger will pave the way for innovation and cost efficiency and create significant cross-selling opportunities and enable personnel of both companies to provide additional capacity and competitive rates.
