EUROPEAN AIR SHIPPERS SPECIFY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
The European Air Shippers’ Council has published a guide on key
performance indicators and best practices in the air cargo industry.
The shippers’ group said that its guide sums up shippers’ requirements
from their air cargo suppliers. The guide defines common definitions,
standards and measurements "to encourage industry-wide adoption of
harmonized key performance indicators and best practices," the European Air
Shippers’ Council said.
The guide was developed by the European Air Shippers’ Council, freight
forwarders and airlines.
The performance indicators cover cargo delivery, "no shows,"
documentation and cargo collection at the different links of the air cargo
supply chain.
