Evanhoe pairs with Fluensee on RFID

   Fluensee, a provider of radio frequency identification device tracking and supply chain management services, has entered into a partnership with Evanhoe & Associates, an IT systems integrator with automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) experience in industries such as government, healthcare, and manufacturing.
   The agreement will allow Evanhoe to offer Fluensee’s Web-based RFID services to its customers. The companies said services will be available if companies need the entire suite of functions, want a more limited set of features on the platform, or use it as a way to integrate general tracking into their existing system.
   Fluensee will offer a highly-configurable solution, Fluensee AssetTrack, that provides comprehensive asset visibility and control, which Evanhoe hopes will aid its customers around use of assets like IT, precision equipment, returnable transport items, and manufacturing WIPs.
   The companies said the addition of RFID tracking to their customer services will offer the following benefits:

• Automatic asset location and inventory information.
• Mobile handheld inventory tracking.
• Optimization of an asset cycle and usage time.
• Real-time alert notifications for discrepancies, events, or unauthorized movements.
• Reduction in shrinkage and overall loss.
• Streamlining the check-in and out processes.

   Evanhoe hopes to offer system components to go along with the RFID tracking system, such as read points that allow for automatic tracking, mobile handheld RFID devices, and physical infrastructure that can provide asset management and tracking in specified locations and equipment.
