Evans Distribution expands in Midwest

Evans Distribution expands in Midwest    Evans Distribution Systems, a logistics services provider, has expanded with new operations in Kenosha, Wis., and Twinsburg and Toledo, Ohio.
   The company will provide switching and yard management services for an automotive shipper at several Midwest assembly plants. To support this new business, Evans hired 16 employees who will serve as drivers and managers.
   Evans' transportation division now supports nine automotive assembly plants throughout the Midwest with switching and yard management. The company also is growing with a separate transportation project in Toledo, which it added seven driver positions.
   Evans is also expanding with two new operations in Denver and Aurora, Colo. The company is working with a trucking company overseeing the labor and processes of two automotive cross-dock operations in Colorado. As a result of these new operations, Evans has added about 25 new employees including material handlers and managers.
