Evergreen adds Japan/South China service
Evergreen Line said this week it has started a weekly intra-Asia service linking Japan and South China, doubling the carrier's frequency of calls between the two regions.
The new JTS service has a rotation of Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, Keelung, Kaohsiung, Shekou, Hong Kong, Haiphong, Zhangjiang, Hong Kong, Shekou and Tokyo. According to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data, the JTS operates with three vessels averaging 1,164 TEUs of capacity.
Evergreen's NSC service also links Japan to Hong Kong and Shekou in South China. According to ComPair Data, the NSC has a rotation of Tokyo, Yokohama, Shimizu, Nagoya, Yokkaichi, Taichung, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Shekou, Hong Kong and Tokyo. The service operates with three vessels averaging 1,618 TEUs.
ComPair Data also indicates Evergreen participates on two other intra-Asia services connecting Japan and South China:
' Wan Hai's JTP service, in which Evergreen provides one of three vessels.
' Yang Ming's four-ship JCM service, in which Evergreen takes slots.
