Evergreen, COSCO adding Taiwan, Mexico calls to Asia/Panama service

Evergreen, COSCO adding Taiwan, Mexico calls to Asia/Panama service Evergreen and COSCO Container Lines will add calls at Kaohsiung in Taiwan and eastbound only calls at Manzanillo on the Mexican Pacific Coast to their joint weekly and misleadingly named China U.S. East Coast (CUE) service.
   The 3,428-TEU “Ever Gaining” will start the new rotation when it departs Shanghai on May 13, calling at Kaohsiung on May 18, before arriving at Manzanillo on June 6.
   The service uses seven ships averaging about 2,800 TEUs and will have a revised port rotation of Shanghai; Yantian; Hong Kong; Kaohsiung; Manzanillo, Mexico; Cristobal, Panama; and back to Shanghai.
   The CUE started in March last year but hasn’t called at any U.S. East Coast ports since Savannah and Port Everglades were dropped from the rotation in September.
