EVERGREEN ENDS CHINA/AUSTRALIA DIRECT LINK
Evergreen Marine will no longer take slots from China Ocean Shipping Co. on the Chinese carrier’s weekly China/Australia service. Sources close to Evergreen told American Shipper that the carrier will end its direct SAS service in February next year.
Evergreen will continue to serve the China/Australia market via feeder links from Singapore using its CEM and ASA services.
The SAS service currently calls at Shanghai, Huangpu, Hong Kong, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Huangpu.
Hanjin Shipping and Regional Container Lines also take space from COSCO on this service.
