Evergreen establishing own Spanish agency
Taiwan’s Evergreen Group will operate its own Spanish agency to focus on Valencia and Barcelona, starting Jan. 1.
Staff from the Valencia and Barcelona offices of Romeu Group-owned Green Iberica, Evergreen’s agent for almost 30 years, will transfer to Evergreen Shipping Spain SL (EES) to represent sister carriers Evergreen Marine Corp, Hatsu Marine Ltd. and Italia Marittima SpA.
Evergreen has appointed Albert Ko to president of EES.
The rest of Spain, including Madrid, Alicante and Bilbao, will continue to be represented by Green Iberica, while Portugal, Algeria and Tunisia will also be represented by existing Evergreen agents.
