Evergreen joins ‘K’ Line’s JABCO 1

   The liner shipping company Evergreen Line joins the China to the Southeast Asia portion of “K” Line’s JABCO 1 service beginning with the April 30 sailing of Guayaquil Bridge from Shanghai.
   Hanjin Shipping is already a slot charterer and dubs the loop JTS. The service, which Evergreen Line calls B1, has increased from 21 to 28 days roundtrip voyage.
   JABCO 1 currently operates with four vessels, all provided by “K” Line, averaging 2,103 TEUs. A previous call to Bangkok has been dropped and calls to Yokkaichi, Ningbo and Manila were added. The new port rotation is Tokyo, Yokohama, Shimizu, Yokkaichi, Nagoya, Shanghai, Ningbo, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh, Manila, Ningbo, Shanghai and Tokyo. 
   Previously, the service operated with three vessels averaging 1,708 TEUs. The previous rotation was Tokyo, Shimizu, Yokohama, Nagoya, Shanghai, Laem Chabang, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh and Tokyo. — ComPair Data, Kathleen Tyson
