EVERGREEN MARINE POSTS HIGHER NET PROFIT, LOWER REVENUE FOR 2001    Evergreen Marine Corp., the Taiwanese listed arm of the Evergreen group, has released provisional financial results for 2001 that show a higher net profit and lower revenues.
   Consolidated operating revenues decreased 4 percent to NT$58.2 billion ($1.7 billion), from NT$60.5 billion in 2000.
   Despite the fall in revenue, Evergreen Marine Corp.’s post tax profit increased to NT$1.7 billion ($48 million), from NT$1.3 billion in 2000.
   Pre-tax income last year was NT$2.1 billion ($60 million), up from NT$1.6 billion in the previous year.
   The company has not disclosed its operating income for 2001.
   Besides Evergreen Marine Corp., the Evergreen group includes its Panamanian subsidiary Greencompass Marine SA and other shipping interests.
